Amazing success stories begin with amazing People.

The individuals who choose to become Franchisees select Beef's as their venue because it's a brand where they can excel at the very thing they do best – connecting with people. As we've mentioned, you don't need restaurant experience to be a successful Franchisee. Our owner-operators come to us from all backgrounds – from retired schoolteachers to firefighters to entrepreneurs. Each of them recognized a powerful yet affordable opportunity and seized it.

What was your occupation prior to Beef's?
I still own and operate a Jostens franchise where we produce things like yearbooks and class rings for high schools and colleges

Why did you become a Franchisee?
I was looking for a restaurant concept to open in my hometown and flew to Tampa. I liked what Beef's had to offer.

What's the best part of owning a Beef's?
There is always someone willing to listen on the other end of the phone when I call.

Does community involvement play a role in your success?
When looking for a location I made sure we were near the high school, middle school and athletic centers so that we could cater to those crowds after practices and events. We are partnering with our community with spirit nights to help raise funds for the many different organizations. We also have one of the nicer meeting/party rooms in town. We loan the room out to help many of the associations within the city.

What was your occupation prior to Beef's?
I've been involved in the restaurant industry since I was 15 years old.

Why did you become a Franchisee?
After graduating college, I decided I wanted to become a franchisee of the Beef ‘O' Brady's system to be part of a legacy of helping my community. I was following in my father's footsteps after he had opened over 8 franchise locations. I wanted to prove to myself that I was capable and deserving of it and worked my way up from a cook … to a busser … to a server … then to an assistant manager … to a general manager … and now I am an owner/operator of 2 high-volume locations and growing.

What's the best part of owning a Beef's?
The relationships you gain. From the support of the corporate office staff … to the franchise owners in the system … and the customers you meet on a regular day… they all help you to build your business and take you to the next professional level.

Does community involvement play a role in your success?
Community involvement is what Beef's is known for and is the reason I support schools, churches, little leagues and many non-profit organizations. We do lots of different “spirit nights” and even hold car washes at our Beef's locations for local customers.

What was your occupation prior to Beef's?
I was a stay-at-home mom for 14 years to our three kids. Before our kids were born I was a dental assistant.

Why did you become a Franchisee?
We wanted to open our own business in order to have a second income that could pay for our children's college education. We didn't have a Beef's in Owensboro, in fact we'd never even heard of it. Barry found it online and the concept interested us.  We drove to Louisville and visited several Beef's and fell in love with the idea of owning our own.

What's the best part of owning a Beef's?
The best part of the Beef's family is that there is always someone to contact when we need help or if we have any questions.  We would never have been successful if we weren't part of the Beef's franchise family. Without the structure of a menu, pricing, purchasing, support, etc. there is no way we would've lasted even one year. We celebrated 12 years of business last April!

Does community involvement play a role in your success?
Being involved in our community is my favorite part of owning a Beef's in the town where Barry and I grew up.  We always donate to every school, church and other organizations whenever they ask.  We may not be able to donate in exactly the way they ask, but I work with them to figure out a way we can help.  Besides, fundraisers (spirit nights), we rarely donate cash or pay for sponsorships in cash. Instead, we give gift certificates in increments of $10 for the same monetary value.  This assures that we will get a return from the team or school we sponsored. Whenever we hold fundraisers for people in need who live in our community, I love it when the individual is able to be at Beef's to see the place packed in support of them.  They are always overwhelmed and it's a privilege to be able to hand them a donation check to help them in their time of need.

What was your occupation prior to Beef's?
I was a Southwest Flight Attendant.

Why did you become a Franchisee?
We loved the atmosphere after visiting our first Beef's while on vacation. We quickly realized the Beef's concept would be a perfect fit in our community.

What's the best part of owning a Beef's?
Being part of the Beef's Family! We now have life-long friendships because of it. We've also enjoyed seeing how our Beef's has become a place that people really love.

Does community involvement play a role in your success?
Having good food, a nice staff and the latest trend in décor are all important. But if we weren't deeply involved in our community, we would have closed up years ago like a lot of our competition. Assuming people will just “show up” because we're here never made sense! People in our community know we care when they see us sponsor teams ... show up at games ... or bring food or certificates to a school. It's a relationship. We realized early on that whatever came of our bringing Beef's to our area, having a constant and positive presence in the community meant success for us all. We're also proud to have initiated delivery early on as a way to promote getting our great food to the home or office. Whenever we are thanked for the things we do we kind of feel like ..."WOW"... we're just grateful for the business they're bringing to us! Knowing that they are expressively grateful means the world to us as well as our staff.
